Driving Motivated and Targeted Visitors to Your Website - Fact or Fantasy?
By Butch Hamilton
I am sure that you as an internet marketer, have done some of the same things that I have done in my earlier internet career. Have you ever bought leads before? Have you been sold the idea of buying leads with the catch phrase highly motivated and targeted visitors to your website? What is exactly a targeted and motivated visitor?
That is simply a phrase that means that your website will have people interested in your program or service. These highly motivated and targeted visitors will enjoy looking at your site because it is just what they are looking for.
The lead brokers of the internet are banking that you really don't know too much about how the internet works and they are more than willing to sell you those leads and tell you stories about how their leads are fresh and will work for any project you happen to be promoting. In all actuality these so-called fresh leads have been bought and sold hundreds and thousands of times. What would make you think that you would have any more luck selling those leads on your program than anyone else would? You may think that you have just the program that will make them rich. You may think that everyone should join your program because look at the success you are having.
Think about this a little more. How many emails did you look at today and just delete and never give another thought? How many emails did you actually click on and look at the product or service and were very interested in what Mr. Supermarketer had to offer? How many of those emails came from free email accounts like aol, msn, yahoo or gmail?
Think about it for a moment. Any truly professional online marketer would never dream of using anything but a domain based email address. So right off the bat you are dealing with just another person trying to sell you something.
Are you like me? Are you growing weary of being sold stuff? We get it on tv, radio, email, popups and popunders. Does it wear you down? So, how effective are those targeted and motivated leads that you just bought? They will not be much better than doing a broadcast email to your list in your Outlook Express email account.
So, rule of thumb, don't buy leads, produce your own leads the right way!
How do you get visitors to a website the legitimate way?
You get people interested in reading your information. All people like to read information that will help them in their business. So, writing ezine articles and press releases that offer people good original information on how to build a business is your best investment. And the great thing about these wonderful promotional tools is that they do not cost you one dime!
Just imagine being able to tell people about the advantages of your project, providing you have done your homework about your program and being very keyword specific in your article, and it never costing you one red cent except for your time to construct the article!
If you are trying to become an effective internet marketer and you are doing things like buying software programs, buying leads, listening to conference calls, attending training sessions, you would do very well to walk past a lot of that kind of internet promotion and begin to be laser focused and learn to write articles and press releases.
You will magnify your chances of success on the net 1000% and you will save your money for inconsequential items like food, gas, rent and all those little necessities of life!
When you begin to grasp the essential elements in effective online marketing you will find that you will be able to drive your own highly motivated visitors to your site with no money spent on leads and software programs. You will then be on your way to true internet marketing success.
