Branding

Enhancing Your Online Presence
By Butch Hamilton

Good Morning!

I was doing some thinking this great early morning (I love the early morning!) about the internet. You know its very vast and holds more promise for people than anything on the planet. There absolutely is no end to what a person may accomplish on the net. You are only limited by your imagination, determination and willingness to hunker down and go to work.

I had the opportunity yesterday to speak with my good friend Tom Prendergast. He called and we bantered back and forth about internet marketing strategies and systems and how important it is for people to grasp the concept that the ultimate goal should be the journey, not the end result of anything you become involved in on the net. I talk to a great many people in my SEO business and I feel that so many people are concerned with the all mighty dollar that they are losing sight of the fact that this amazing entity called the internet is a journey. I talk with people about how to start a successful internet marketing campaign and the different elements involved and the subject always comes back to "I am not making any money online, guess I better jump on another get rich quick scheme to become successful."

This attitude seems to be the norm in internet marketing. The next big thing always lures people away from the one thing that could assure their success. That would be their conscious ability to determine exactly how they would like to live their life and sticking with that principle come hell or high water. It really is possible to live the life you desire, make money and do what you like without the bonds and restrictions of conventional jobs on the internet today. As Tom so aptly put it "I can lead you to the door, but I can't make you go in." This is exactly what a large number of my articles are about. I can tell you about systems and methods and strategies all day and all night long. This is the way I live and I am passionate about my work. But you know what? I cannot and will not do the work for you! Its all about you sitting down and visualizing what you want to accomplish and then going to work.

I have consistently written articles about the importance of the "one thing theory." Its a simple design and one that I believe will work for anyone. You simply pick one thing that you desire to accomplish and you stick to that until it brings you the desired results. Now if that means a top spot on Google, you push your efforts to nailing the position. If your desire is to promote a site, then you go about the job of writing articles and press releases until the position in obtained. And you let nothing stand in your way until you achieve your goal!

This is a very simple concept. Just one thing, just one positive step in the right direction can open up an entire world for you. How many people are up to the task? I have found a few that are willing to go for their dreams and goals, but actually I am quite surprised at the number of people that whine and complain about no success, but are unwilling to stay the course until the goal is obtained.

I am going to be what may appear to you to be very harsh and uncaring this morning, but its actually quite the opposite. I only am willing to spend my quality time with quality people. I have no time for whining and complaining. I have no time to listen to excuses. I have no time to talk of no money, no success, no dreams, and all the frivolous things that people love to whimper about. I am about one thing. I will accomplish my dream. I will accomplish what I have set out to do regardless of any power on this planet. I will succeed in my chosen path no matter the cost! My success will be my lamp to the world that I will wear proudly!
