When one commits to a particular endeaver, especially in business, and aspires to greatness,
it would serve them well to find a mentor who is well-established in that endeaver. Finding an exemplary mentor is rare. First, there is not a great many of them. Second, those who are accomplished and possess the faculties to mentor, are usually too busy accomplishing something of importance to give their time away.

To my way of thinking, an exemplary mentor is one who provides his advice, expertise and assistance through both training and teaching. Although he is keenly aware that time is his most valuable asset, he generously trains on how the business works, teaches on how life works and does both with clairty and a definite of purpose. He will give you valuable information the way it is, "straight-up" and you can either embrace and apply it or don't and get out of the way. He is a
mentor, not a day-care provider.

For the last three years during which I have been on my journey to establish a successful, profitable Internet business, there have been way too many events that have been raised in my favor to mention all of them here. A few I will mention are; unexpected incidents, unforseen occasions, receptive attitudes and fortuitous meetings.

About two years ago, in the winter of 2006, a special event was definitely raised in my
favor when I joined a live, SEO (what's that, I thought) training session in the Veretekk
webconference room we call VereConference. The presenter that transcendental night was a man who had been publically noted by Tom Prendergast, CEO and Founder of Veretekk, as one who had excelled in his knowledge and application of his own Veretekk System. Plus, (a plus for me anyway) was that the guy lived in a small town in Texas with which I was familiar and have friends who had lived there.

 

That was the lucky, unforseen occasion when I "met" Butch Hamilton.  Most of the information he was sharing was way over my  head at that time because I did not possess enough Internet marketing skills to fully appreciate it. However, I did appreciate his business acumen and his style. As quickly as possible, I implemented his ideas and strategies to the best of my anemic abilities. I wish I had done more, more often.

Everything Butch Hamilton suggested and taught us to do, worked! His methods of conducting search engine optimization (SEO), and Internet Marketing in general, produce positive results.
